Varanasi-Kashi-Banaras

Varanasi is not just a city; it is an emotion, an experience, a realm where time slows down, and the soul awakens. Around 6-month in this sacred city was during the toughest phase of my life, yet, in hindsight, I feel lucky to have spent those days here. This city, its ghats, temples, and unexplainable energy became my silent healer. Every narrow alley, every temple bell, and every ripple in the Ganges carried a story—stories that I lived, felt, and absorbed deep within me.

Waking Up on the Ghats: A Life Beyond the Ordinary

There were nights when I had no destination, no plans—I just walked along the ghats and, at times, slept right there, under the open sky. Waking up on the ghats of Varanasi was an experience beyond words. The first rays of the sun kissing the waters of the Ganges, the morning chants from distant temples, and the sight of sadhus immersed in their meditations—these moments felt surreal. It was not just about sleeping on the ghats; it was about surrendering myself to the unknown, about realizing how little one needs to survive.

Kedar Ghat & The Mystical Lahiri Mahasaya Ashram

I mostly stayed around Kedar Ghat and sometimes near Sita Ghat. There’s an alley near Sita Ghat that leads to Lahiri Mahasaya’s Ashram. The place carries an intense spiritual aura. Sitting there, meditating in silence, I could feel the energy of a space where once a great yogi walked, lived, and meditated. The thought that Lahiri Mahasaya himself had once roamed these very streets gave me goosebumps.

Guru Purnima at Lahiri Mahasaya’s Residence

The most surreal experience was on Guru Purnima. The doors of Lahiri Mahasaya’s residence open only once a year—on this very day. And I was fortunate enough to be there. Walking inside his home, standing in the same space where he lived, felt like touching the fabric of history. The air carried a silence so deep that it could communicate without words. For the first time in my life, I felt what ‘energy’ truly means.

Walking Through Manikarnika Gali: The Path of Death & Liberation

Manikarnika Ghat is not just a cremation ground; it’s a portal between life and death. Walking through the narrow Manikarnika Gali, watching funeral processions carrying dead bodies to the pyre, was an experience I cannot explain. It wasn’t fear that I felt; it was a realization—of how many lives these walls have witnessed, how many unspoken stories they hold. I ran my fingers along the old walls of that alley, as if trying to hear the echoes of those countless final journeys. That moment changed something within me.

Midnight at Harishchandra Ghat: A Night of Divine Energy

One night, my phone was running out of charge, and I wandered into Harishchandra Ghat, looking for a charging point. That’s when I saw a small Kali temple near the cremation ground. There, a baba was performing a special tantric pooja using the fire from the cremation pyres. The scene was something straight out of mythology—mystical, intense, and charged with divine energy. I stayed there till 3 AM, watching, absorbing, and trying to understand the unfathomable. That night, I let go of all my fears. Death, which once felt terrifying, seemed like just another transition.

Experiencing the Mystical Vibes of Varanasi

Varanasi, the city of Lord Shiva, is not just a place; it is an experience that stays with you forever. My six-seven months in this ancient city were not just about survival during the toughest phase of my life but also about transformation. Every ghat, every alley, every temple had something to teach me. The midnight rituals at Harishchandra Ghat, the vibrations of Mahamrityunjay Mantra at Mrityunjay Mahadev, and the divine feminine energy at Durgakund Temple—each experience pulled me deeper into the unseen realms of existence.

Letting Go of Fear: The Power of the Ganges

Spending time at the ghats, I realized that fear is just an illusion. The concept of life and death blends seamlessly in Varanasi. Watching cremations daily at Manikarnika Ghat, I understood that death is not an end but a transition. The fear that once gripped me slowly dissolved into the waters of the Ganges. Instead of fear, I found peace—pure, undisturbed, and liberating. It was in Varanasi that I truly learned to surrender.

The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra Experience at Mrityunjay Mahadev Temple

During my stay, I visited Mrityunjay Mahadev Temple, one of the most powerful temples in Varanasi. There, I participated in the chanting of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra. The vibrations of devotees chanting together filled the temple with an unexplainable energy. As I repeated the mantra, I could feel my mind detaching from worldly worries. It was a spiritual cleansing, a rebirth of my inner self, where I truly understood the power of devotion.

Durgakund Temple: A Divine Feminine Energy Experience

A day before Navratri, I visited the Durgakund Temple. I sat there for hours, staring at the temple’s dome, lost in its grandeur and the intense feminine energy flowing all around. The vibrations of prayers, the ringing bells, and the aura of Goddess Durga were overwhelming. This wasn’t just a temple visit—it was an encounter with the divine feminine power, something beyond words. A similar experience awaited me at the Shaktipeeth temple near old VT, where I felt an unshakable strength rising within me, reinforcing my belief in the universe’s supreme balance.

Observing the Chaos and Calm of Varanasi’s Streets

While walking through the crowded streets of Varanasi, I often wondered how people get lost in their daily routines, oblivious to the energy surrounding them. The same streets that carried divine vibrations also bore the weight of people’s endless struggles. Observing this duality, I realized that most of us are so absorbed in chasing material things that we miss out on the true essence of life. This realization changed my perspective forever—money and success may matter, but inner peace is the real wealth.

Varanasi-Kashi-Banaras—A Journey Beyond Time and Self

Varanasi is not just a city; it’s an experience that transforms you. From sleeping on the ghats under the open sky to feeling the intense energy of Lahiri Mahasaya’s ashram on Guru Purnima, every moment here reshaped my soul. Walking through the narrow lanes of Manikarnika, touching the walls that had witnessed countless final journeys, I realized how fragile yet eternal life is.

And now, I ask you—have you ever felt a place changing you? Have you ever surrendered to a city’s energy, letting it break you and heal you at the same time? If yes, share your story. If not, maybe it's time you visited Varanasi. Who knows, it might just show you who you truly are

The Art of Letting Go: A Beautiful Goodbye

Some come into our lives to teach us, change us, and then leave—just like the setting sun, which fades away only to rise again with a new light. Letting go is often seen as something painful, something we are forced to do. But what if it’s not? What if letting go is just another way of loving—one that doesn’t hold back, doesn’t cling, but simply allows things to flow as they are meant to? That’s how I chose to let her go. Not with anger, not with sadness, but with love. A love that didn’t need to hold on. When Holding On Hurts More Than Letting Go Urvashi and I—we had something real. Something that mattered. Who Am I?

Myself  Malang  . I have a background in Computer Science Engineering , but my journey didn’t start in the world of technology. It started in a place far from it—a small Indian village. I come from a world where dreams are often limited by circumstances, where survival takes priority over ambition, and where thinking beyond the immediate reality is considered foolish. But I was never one to accept limitations. I have seen poverty in its rawest form . I have lived through days where resources were scarce, where the future seemed predictable and predetermined. But even as a child, I refused to believe that my destiny was confined to the boundaries of my village. I was that kid—the one who always thought bigger , who asked questions no one around me had answers to, who dreamed of things that people said were "not meant for us." While others were content with what life had handed them, I wanted to reshape life itself . And so, I stepped into the unknown. From a place where techn...

Virat Kohli’s Mentality: The Mindset That Built My Mental Toughness

The Power of a Champion’s Mindset Virat Kohli is not just a cricketer; he is a mindset, a force of discipline, resilience, and relentless self-belief. His journey from a passionate young player to becoming one of the greatest cricketers in history is not just about talent but about mental strength, work ethic, and an unshakable hunger to win. As someone who has admired his journey, I have found that his mentality extends far beyond cricket. It has impacted the way I approach challenges in my own life. His leadership, aggressive determination, and ability to rise stronger after failures have shaped my perspective on success, discipline, and mental toughness . The Day I Witnessed Virat Kohli’s Leadership Live ( This was my first-ever stadium experience, and it turned out to be more special than I had imagined. ) I had gone to watch the Punjab Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, IPL 2023 (27th Match) . Luck was on my side that day—Faf du Plessis got injured, and Virat Kohli unexpected...

A Girl I Met Before the Sun Went Down

A quiet hill, a stranger, and a moment that lingers. After Kainchi dham Darshan, I was heading to Kasar Devi , a small, quiet hill near Almora that’s often whispered about in spiritual circles. Not because it’s a tourist spot, but because it holds something deeper. People say the energy there is… different. I wasn’t looking for answers. Just peace. Just silence. The bus was crowded, but one seat beside me was empty. A girl came and sat down. She looked calm, kind of lost in her thoughts. She wasn’t scrolling on her phone, wasn’t wearing headphones — just quietly looking outside the window. There was something about her presence… like she belonged to the silence I was chasing. Her name was Navya . An engineer from Ahmedabad, now living in Delhi. Once we reached Almora(Uttrakhand , India) I was figuring out how to get to the temple then She asked, “Are you also going to Kasar Devi Temple?” , continues “ I’m heading there too. ” And just like that, we were walking side by side,...

A Moment I Borrowed from the Cosmos

. Some days don’t need plans; they just need two people who decide to meet and let the rest unfold on its own. That’s how it began when I met  Señorita  in Delhi. We hadn’t made a list of places to visit — only one simple decision: that we were meeting. Sometimes, that’s all it takes for the day to write its own poetry. And somehow, that was enough for the universe to take care of the rest. We started at Humayun’s Tomb . The morning light fell softly over the old Mughal arches. I thought she’d like it — the calm, the symmetry, the quietness of time standing still. But she didn’t. She said she couldn’t connect with it, that the place felt too lifeless, too heavy. Still, we clicked a few pictures — not because the backdrop was beautiful, but because the moment was. The laughter, the teasing, the random comments — they made the tomb feel a little more alive. It wasn’t about the monument anymore — it was about that feeling of being in the same moment, without a script. From th...
